Christiano C. Caldeira, M.D.

 

Dr. Caldeira is an expert in high-risk cardiac surgical procedures, and has a special interest in surgical therapies for the treatment of heart failure. In addition to heart and lung transplantation, Dr. Caldeira is experienced in the use of implantable ventricular assist devices and left ventricular reconstruction surgery.

Robert Hooker, M.D.

 

In addition to his interest in thoracic transplantation and ventricular assist devices, Dr. Hooker also is specialized in thoracic aortic pathology, valve repair and replacement, and arrhythmia surgery. He is the author of multiple peer reviewed journal articles and has participated in many device trials.

Riad Meada, M.D.

 

His interest in Aortic surgery led him to the University of Texas where he then did his Fellowship of Aortic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Center, and after completion of his fellowship he became an Assistant Professor of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery at the University of Texas. Right before joining USF Health, Dr. Meada was at Duke University where he did a fellowship in assist device and thoracic transplant.
